It’s strange to think how much has changed in the past 4 years. I never would have thought coming out of secondary school that I’d be setting myself up for a potential career in research. If I’d told myself back then that I was going to finally lose weight, I would never have believed it. Heck I would have put money on me coming to university and befriending nobody, maybe even having a few people dislike me for no reason.
But now I can look back and say that I wouldn’t change any of the choices I’ve made, and I wouldn’t trade the people I have in my life right now for anyone else. Of course there are countless unanswered questions which I’ll never know the answer to, and in hindsight, maybe that’s a good thing. On top of that, there’s so much I didn’t do growing up, and there’s plenty more I know I’ll never get to do.
Maybe that’s just how I’m gonna be. Boring, nerdy and generally not very exciting to be around. Luckily for me there are people accepting of such traits.
I guess I should get back to cleaning now. Being in the flat alone sucks so much!
